Insulation

Piping, tank, boiler and equipment insulation for industrial needs have been a core activity of Arme since day one. The majority of our customers are from the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy and Pulp & Paper industries.

Functional and cost-effective insulation solutions require a fundamental understanding of the job at hand and the project site conditions, in order to make the correct material choices, along with professionally and safely executed installation works.

Insulation contributes directly to the efficiency of processes

Our vast technical know-how and project management expertise, as well as our commitment to solving special requirements and respecting project schedules of our customers are key factors for reaching a reliable and flawless end result.

Diligently executed insulation works contribute functional and safe industrial processes.

Arme Oy also specializes in extreme and critical insulation environments, where temperatures fall below -150°C or rise up to a thousand degrees.

Arme Oy has extensive experience in insulation work of cruise liners, ferries and other purpose-built vessels, such as research and military vessels, where the required standards are extremely high.

We provide fire protection, heat, condensation and sound insulation for all sections of the vessels, ensuring both vessel safety and passenger comfort.

Customers comprise Finnish and European shipyards. Insulation and sheet metal works as well as scaffolding services are provided directly to ship builders, main contractors and partial suppliers.

Another field of expertise of Arme comprises insulation works of HVAC systems in new construction as well as renovation projects.

The projects comprise installation of various insulation and jacketing materials on ducting, equipment and piping. The technical solutions are tailored for this particular purpose and require a flawless optical finish both in residential and public premises projects.

Our scope of supply includes

  • Insulation of heated and chilled pipelines
  • Insulation of air ducts, including fireprotection insulation
  • Insulation of armatures, valves, pumps
  • Structural fire protection insulation

In HVAC Insulation projects Arme works directly with the construction companies, or as a subcontractor of system suppliers.

Efficient prefabrication of sheet metal jacketing and enclosures for piping and equipment insulation is critical for the success of each project. The process consists of an entire chain of events, including fabrication of the parts, quality assurance, storage, packaging, and timely delivery to the job site.

Most of Arme’s prefabrication takes place at the main prefabrication workshop in Kulloo, but on a smaller scale prefab works are done in Naantali as well. Depending on the nature and size of the project, temporary prefabrication facilities can also be established on-site.

The largely automated prefabrication production process ensures that all the products are of the same high quality, yet traditional handcraft skills of our prefab workshop personnel continue to play an important role as well.
